• • 'Listen Mode' has been added.

  • This new mode is a daily Heardle-style music guessing game.

  • In this mode your aim is to identify the original VTuber song from progressively longer YouTube clips (1, 2, 4, 7, 11, and 16 seconds).

• • Attempted to simplify NIJISANJI's incredibly confusing gen/unit/branch scheme.

  • This is still open to being tweaked further in the future.

• • Dataset updates:

  • Added new entries to the database.

  • Added the undebuted Hololive ASOBI★MAWARI-TAI! girls. Will be updated when they actually debut.

  • Added a few hundred original VTuber songs to a new music database.

• • Updated the how-to popovers for the different modes.

• • Gave each mode a slightly different background color.

BUG FIXES

• • Fixed an issue where the wrong outcome was being displayed in infinite mode.

• • Fixed an issue with the 'copy results to clipboard' showing the wrong icons in certain situations.

• • Fixed an issue where the new modes were not properly visible on mobile screens.

FEATURES

• • A new home page has been added that will navigate to any new modes that are added.

• • Infinite mode has been added.

• • Reverse mode has been added. This is a new *limited time* mode that reveals new information to you about the target VTuber after each guess.

  • This mode is a result of some experimentation and may not stick around for long, or may be drastically changed as time goes on.

  • This mode also uses a separate pool of VTubers from the classic mode, so you may see repeats of VTubers you have already seen in classic mode.

  • There are likely still some bugs that need to be ironed out, so please report any issues you find.

• • Hololive has now merged their branches, but I do not plan on updating older entries to remove branch/gen information, as I feel it would be needlessly confusing.

  • Future Hololive debuts will likely have no branch or gen number listed.

• • Dataset updates:

  • Removed DENSETSU.exe from VShojo [Former].

  • Added 50+ new entries to the database.

  • Fixed Pippa Pebblesworth missing profile picture.

  • Made Chibidoki's species 'Chibidoki'.

  • Updated various other entries.

  • Planning a rework of the NIJISANJI entries at some point soon.

• • Moved the 'random guess' button to the right side of the search bar for consistency.

• • Streaks are now mode-specific (excluding infinite mode).

BUG FIXES

• • Fixed an issue where the background was being cut off in certain situations.

• • Fixed an issue where the patch notes modal was not dismissing after becoming stale.

• • Fixed some issues with how streaks were displayed.

FEATURES

• • Patch notes for major updates can be found by clicking the list icon at the top left. Patch notes will be shown for the first time in a popup dialog.

• • A countdown to the next puzzle is now shown when a game is completed.

• • Streaks have been implemented. Successive correct days will increase your streak, displayed in the Calendar at the top left. Streaks will reset if a day is missed or a puzzle is failed.

• • Search functionality has been added to the Encyclopedia. You can now search for companies by name.

• • Changed the hair color matching method from percentage-based comparisons to color names.

  • This change is still not set in stone, and can be reverted if there is negative feedback.

  • Renamed 'Humanoid' to 'Hominid' to lessen confusion.

  • The Fae category has been removed and merged into the Mythical / Folklore category.

  • The Yokai category has been removed and merged into the Mythical / Folklore category.

  • The Folklore/Cryptid category has been removed and merged into the Mythical / Folklore category.

  • The Mammal sub-categories have been removed.

  • Fiend / Underworld, Celestial / Divine, Undead, Mythical / Folklore, Cosmic / Eldritch, Plant / Fungus, Reptile / Amphibian, Arthropod / Invertebrate, Aquatic, and Mammal have been made into sub-categories.

  • The 'Artificial Life' sub-category has been added

  • Main categories are now Flora / Fauna, Construct, Supernatural, and Hominid

  • These changes can also be reverted if needed.

• • Updated the dataset.

• • Made the joke entries (attributes in quotes) use a smaller font to better differentiate them (and show that they aren't counted).
